mweaThescelosauridae è un mweqclade estinto di mwegdinosauri mwewneornitischi vissuti nel mwfaCretaceo inferiore-mwfqsuperiore, circa 130–66 milioni di anni fa (mwfgHauteriviano-mwfwMaastrichtiano), nell'mwgaAsia orientale e in mwgqNord America. Il gruppo fu originariamente utilizzato come nome da Charles M. Sternberg nel mwgg1937, ma non fu formalmente definito fino al 2013, dove fu utilizzato da Brown e colleghi come gruppo per unire mwgwmwhaThescelosaurus e mwhqmwhgOrodromeus, sulla base dei loro risultati filogenetici.cite-ref-madzia2021-1-2[1]cite-ref-brown2013-3-0[3] Durante una revisione filogenetica dei neornitischi da parte di Clint Boyd nel mwjw2015, la paternità di Thescelosauridae fu data a Brown e colleghi, il che significava che il simile nome mwkaParksosauridae, definito informalmente nel mwkq2002 da Buchholz, avrebbe avuto la priorità su Thescelosauridae.
